After what just happened, I needed a stress rest. They have her on anti-biodics especially for the bacteria she has, so soon it will be under control.

Today after her medicine transfusion, she was given a pass to go home for the evening.

Today back into the operating room. This time I took her in when they put her to sleep. It is getting hard for Brenda. She woke up crying she hurt, the first time really made a real fuss over pain after the operation. Tonight she got to go home after her medicine.

We have to take her into the hospital every morning for her transfusion, She is getting better and we tease her she is coming in for her happy juice. Today was a long hard day. The transfusion machine kept beeping at us, so we didn't get to have a very good lunch. After the transfusion of the medicine we had to go to the other ward and was informed we had to go to the Cross Clinic. Loading up both kids we headed for the clinic. More sitting and waiting and finally we get the results. They were good this time and the next set of treatments are scheduled. Starting next Monday.

Nothing unusual today, just more happy juice transfusion.

This driving is getting harder and harder. I am getting tired I guess.

Today a parcel came for her. Will take it to her tomorrow when she goes for her treatment. The happy juice is working good .. she is in a good mood lately and runs and plays now.

Today Grandpa took her for her treatments along with the parcel and the camera. She was one excited little girl when she was opening it. Inside she found the Sweetest Teddy Bear (called Snuffles) and she hugged it to death. Grandpa was busy snapping pictures of the event. Two very good friends of mine (Mary (Mystery) & Rick (Silver Wolf)) from the net sent her the Teddy Bear. Thank you so much, you two made one little girl very happy. *smile* ... She wants to color something for you, so as soon as she can and when the pictures come back, there will be something coming from her to you. (Warning she colors really pretty but it is all over the place, thinks the lines were put there just to look at ... hehehehe)

Nov. 9 and 10 went to the hospital for the final meds of the "happy juice" .. Nanna was too sick to take her, but she made it there with dads help and taxi cab. Miky had a busy week and is doing great. This week had no treatments or doc. appointments and was like a normal week, thank god .. the first normal week since Sept. 23. This week we saw Miky move from her home to a different home (hopefully one a little more healthier for her). She received cards from various places and thanks all for the cards .. especially the ones with kittens on them. Miky is growing up fast. For a little girl of not even two, she now wants to administer her own flush for the broviac tube and give herself her own meds. Guess she thinks it will taste better if she does it herself. But she says "Me do it". A good sign of accepting what is happening to her. *smile* Tomorrow, Mon., it is back into the hospital and start the chemo treatments all over again. This time it is hospital Mon. - Thurs (chemo treatments and the operating room treatment of chemo in the spine) then only blood tests once a week for two weeks and then the cycle starts over with the hospital stay again on the third week. This is a lot easier on everybody. Hopefully all goes well with this next set of treatments that will last on this schedule for the next 5 months if all goes well.

We survived the week. Monday it was at the clinic for blood work then to the hospital to stay and start chemo. Tue into the operating room for bonemarrow test and spinal fluid testing and chemo in the spine and a shot in the leg. Those make her so grumpy. She wasn't too excited about going back to the hospital and was sure glad when we took her home today, giving all the nurses a hug and kiss goodbye. Guess she will get used to the routine. I got her a suitcase (Barbie on it) that has wheels on it so she can pull her own stuff .. she was proud of that. Have to try to make this ordeal as pleasant and fun as possible for her, as it will be a long ordeal. Hopefully done now till next Monday.

Today we headed to the cancer clinic and had the blood tests done. They turned out to be good, so she had a chemo treatment given to her there and then we headed for home. Done again now till next monday. This schedule is a lot better for all of us. It is nice to stay home a few days again.
