April 1, 1998 April Fools Day .. April 3, 1998 Miky is still on her grouch medicine. She is getting a lot better about taking it, which really helps. She hasn't been too grouchy this time either or maybe we are just getting used to it ..*smile* LOL April 7, 1998 This morning we were off to the clinic again for blood work, a shot in the leg and chemo in her broviac.. her blood results came back good .. guess that grouch medicine worked good. On Thurs we have to take her to another appointment to get her checked and scheduled to have her broviac removed. That will be happening next Wed. She is pretty excited about having it removed. With the broviac the child can't go swimming or even take a fun bath, as they can't be placed in water. So hopefully it will be a good summer for her although she still can't be exposed to sunlight. April 14, 1998 We spent a long day today at the clinic. It seems to be getting busier at this place. More kids are being diagnosed each day. Miky's tests came back good today and she got her shot in the leg. These hurt really bad and make her cry even with the freezing applied to the spot. Tomorrow she gets the broviac removed. April 15, 1998 Early this morning we headed for the hospital. Today is another day that will help get Miky's life back to a little more normal. Miky came through the operation with flying colors. When Nanna showed her that the tube was gone she had a scared look on her face till she saw it in a bag; then she was smiling. She was in a hurry to get out of the hospital and was soon running around the recovery room. Soon we were on our way home again. April 17, 1998 Miky is very happy her broviac is gone and is willing to show everybody the site of where it used to be. Her comment is "See, I normal again". Poor little kids go through so much. Please send a prayer for all the little kids in the world who aren't able to have a normal life yet. Miky, so far, has been lucky that her treatments are working. Some kids are not so lucky. *sigh* April 21, 1998 Next week everything will be done at the Doctors office. Monday at another hospital for blood work and then on Tue. for the chemo. This little girl has even graduated to pill form for some of her chemo. With the pills we can take a full 6 week supply home and not have to make extra trips to the cancer clinic for medication. Wow .. that is going to be nice .. *smile* April 27, 1998 Today is not a good day for Miky .. She is not feeling good and says she is sick again. The blood work will or should show what is happening. Her fever is going up and down like a yo-yo. *sigh*
