It has been awhile since this old Grandma has updated this site. Many things have been happening in our lives since the last update. Miky's Great-Grandpa has been very sick but is a whole lot better now after over 2 months in the hospital. :-)) Now on to Miky's report:
Miky is doing great .. she had a great summer and loved Halloween, she was dressed as a bride :-)) a very pretty one at that :-) .. we are on the down swing of this whole ordeal. This last month (Nov.) has brought us a lot of the lasts .. :-)) she had her last chemo that will make her bald (yes, Miky came over to Nanna's to have her head shaved again this month) and also she had her last spinal chemo .. yippy .. those were terrible. Her little body is so far working perfect and when she gets a cold her body is fighting. That is the best news we can ask for. She will soon be 4 yrs old and is growing like a weed with rosey red cheeks :-)) We are now counting the weeks till this treatment will be complete; then, we pray. The last will be in April :-)). Then no more chemo, just blood tests. She will have one last spinal poke at the end to test for the cancer and a bone marrow test and hopefully that little girl will never have to have another. Miky and Matthew are really looking forward to Christmas this year and will be going to the Christmas Party for Kids with Cancer next Sunday (Dec. 5) with Grandma and Grandpa Knox. :-)) The party will be held at the West Edmonton Mall (Largest Mall in the World) at the Amusement Center about 10 minutes from here, so they will most likely sleep over at Grandma's house. I wonder how many rides Grandma can get on?? LOLOL
We pray for all the little children in this world who have to go through this. I, for one, never knew what these little kids go through or what the family goes through till it happened to me and I pray it never happens to your family, if it ever does you will grow strength from somewhere and fight as hard as we did. Our little children are so precious, guard them with you life and love.
